Description (last modified by ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt))
On a 10.4.11 G5 with MacPort 1.6.0, doing a "port install gv" appears to work fine, but it creates a file
/opt/local/bin/gv
that is not an executable. In fact, it seems to be a copy of /opt/local/lib/gv/GV:
[bernstei@cstd-beta /]$ diff /opt/local/lib/gv/GV /opt/local/bin/gv [bernstei@cstd-beta /]$
I've attached the file.

It's magically fixed itself. I changed nothing, just uninstalled and reinstalled with -d, and it worked. Uninstalling and reinstalling (even without the -d) is working fine now. So I have no idea what was happening before.

I can't reproduce this on Leopard/x86. Could you please attach a debug-mode log of gv 's build and install process? You can make one with
sudo port -d install gv > gv.log 2>&1
. (You'll need to uninstall gv first, of course. Please also make sure you've runport sync
recently.)
