Steps to reproduce ============ * sudo port install x3270 Expected ====== x3270 will be installed. Actual ==== x3270 fails to be installed. System information ============ * OS X 10.6.2 * Xcode 3.1.3 with all developer tools Additional ======= There is neither a dependency on xmkmf, nor a hint on how to acquire it. It is neither part of the default OS X installation, nor can it be found under the default /Developer tree.

I've just downloaded and successfully configured the latest version available i.e. 3.3.10ga4. The configure in this version also searches for xmkmf, but doesn't fail when not found.

You are not using the correct version of Xcode for 10.6.2. You need version 3.2.1. Did you you update from Leopard? If so, did you follow the migration instructions?
