Ticket #25867 – Description
initial v3 4 4 Apparently, in the process of doing this I screwed up (by upgrading?) OpenSSL, which breaks a lot of things I use including Git. 5 5 6 In attempting to resolve this, I tried to follow the advice from this other MacPorts ticket: https://trac.macports.org/ticket/191226 In attempting to resolve this, I tried to follow the advice from this other MacPorts ticket: #19122 7 7 which specifically recommends: 8 {{{ 8 9 sudo port deactivate openssl 9 10 sudo port activate openssl@0.9.8k_0 11 }}} 10 12 11 13 running the first command produces the following error for me. 12 14 15 {{{ 13 16 ---> Deactivating openssl @1.0.0a_0 14 17 ---> Unable to uninstall/deactivate openssl @1.0.0a_0, the following ports depend on it: … … 37 40 ---> serf @0.6.1_0 38 41 Error: port deactivate failed: Please uninstall the ports that depend on openssl first. 42 }}} 39 43 40 44 I am unclear how to proceed to break the least amount of stuff. Please don't tell me i have to uninstall each of these things seperately and then reinstall them!
