    22now the problem is solved.

    4 it must have been related to the .conf file;
    5 i had passed an option probably that was stored even when deleting afterwards the mpv.conf in the /home/.config folder.
     4it must have been related to the .conf file; --opengl-backend=X11 or other option probably.
     5glad to see that the old MacPro is still running well.
