I attempted to install Digikam using MacPorts on macOS Sonoma, but the installation failed due to issues with its dependencies. — at Version 1

Error: Cannot install kdepimlibs4 for the arch 'x86_64' because
Error: its dependency cyrus-sasl2 does not build for the required arch by default
Error: and does not have a universal variant.

Steps I took that produced the errors:

  1. Cleaned the failed installation attempt of Digikam using sudo port clean digikam.
  1. Attempted to install Digikam again using sudo port install digikam.
  1. Received the error message mentioned above."
