vlc +aqua won't compile

Description
I got libxml errors during compile. I compiled several other ports in between, one of which compiled libxml2. When I then came back to vlc, it now compiled fine. Sorry to be so vague, but that's what I've got.

-I/usr/include/libxml2
looks rather suspect.

Replying to toby@…:
uh, yeah
btw, this was rather easily reproduced. I simply moved the /opt/local to /opt/local.old etc (same for all macports install dirs) and tried it over again. I would actually have expected more of a serious response than "uh, yeah" and closing the ticket as invalid without doing anything at all to investigate.

And indeed, neither vlc nor its dependencies declare a dependency on libxml2.

I confirmed that libxml2 was required and I added the dependency in r52437.

Yes, the libxml2 dependency is missing unfortunatly. Thanks for reporting this.
The patch also removes the aqua variant and moves it's functionality into platform macosx, as discussed in ticket 19325

In its original form, this bug report was completely useless. While it may have been easily reproducible, bug reports that take the form "it doesn't work" are not acceptable.
