These are updates of the Drupal ports that I maintain for the newest versions of Drupal released yesterday. The attachment is not a gzipped tar file as claimed, but a gzipped MacPorts Trac HTML page...

Please reattach the files -- please attach them as diffs, not complete portfiles.

Actually, it is a tar.gz file, but Safari appears to be trying to do something "smart" and fails instead; opening it in Firefox loads the normal trac attachment page from which it can be downloaded properly.

My only question is if Chuck is the same at both chuckdantonio and acquia dot com.

Yes, I've now seen this "smart" behavior on one other ticket and one other unrelated web site. :(

Yes, this is the maintainer. See the original submission in #15192.

I committed your updates for drupal5 and drupal6 in r58498 while trying not to undo the other changes that had previously been made in these ports. I also updated the checksums which you appear not to have done, which makes me wonder how you tested that these updated ports work. :) In the future, please submit diffs against the current portfiles, both so that you can be sure that all the changes you're requesting are the ones you actually want to request, and so that we can more easily apply your changes in the event that the portfiles have changed since you submitted your updates.

I have not yet dealt with acquia-drupal.

Regarding acquia-drupal:

The port is missing the "svn.revision" keyword to specify which revision you want to check out from the Subversion repository. By omitting this, you would get the HEAD revision, which would mean that a user installing the port today might get different software than a user installing the port tomorrow, and that's not ok. You will want to add "svn.revision" and probably incorporate its value into the version keyword.

The port also is missing many of the improvements that were made to the drupal5 and drupal6 portfiles already. You should incorporate those changes so these ports are kept as similar as possible.

Tried replying via email but the update did not appear in Trac. Most of the improvements for the other portfiles don't apply to acquia-drupal since it requires PHP 5.2 and MySQL. Latest MySQL port includes svn.revision and i attached.

drupal5 and drupal6 were removed a few months ago.

Is there still interest in adding acquia-drupal? This ticket should probably be rephrased as merely requesting acquia-drupal if it is to remain open.
