BUG: dsniff broken

Description
Dsniff installs all needed files (and dependencies) and compiles well. The binaries do run but output an ocasional BUS ERROR. They also don't do anything. Arpspoof fails to poison a known poisonable switch and none of the snarf tools catch anything. Not even localhost traffic.
I wonder if this is one of those "broken library versions combination."

Hey. It's not an upstream bug, it's a darwinports bug. The thing is all compiles well, but the dependencies are incorrectly set. The binaries are set to depend on an incorrect version of libpcap which causes them not to see any traffic. Changing the version of libpcap/libnet/libnids configured in the darwinport of dsniff would correct the problem. I've verified this.

How have you verified this? What versions of libnet/libnids/libpcap work? Do you have a patch?
