Without --with-ruby-command the configure will try find the ruby binary, not ruby1.9. So, will be need activate the +nosuffix variant.

I have a problem with vim+ruby19. If i install it with
port install vim +ruby19
when i run vim, i get
dyld: Symbol not found: _environ Referenced from: /opt/local/lib/libruby.1.9.1.dylib Expected in: flat namespace in /opt/local/lib/libruby.1.9.1.dylib zsh: trace trap vim
This is on Snow Leopard. I do not have ruby 1.8 port installed.

Thank you for the patch. This supersedes the patch from #26814, which did not use
--with-ruby-command
.
