Description
Hello. I am attempting to build R 3.0.2 under OS X 10.8.5 and XCode 5.0.2 - thanks for reading.
Installation cruises along at first but will eventually stop without an error message or any apparent activity.
I have attached the installation log file.
The last few lines are:
make[1]: Entering directory `/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_math_R/R/work/R-3.0.2/src/library' building/updating vignettes for package 'grid' ... building/updating vignettes for package 'parallel' ... building/updating vignettes for package 'utils' ... make[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_math_R/R/work/R-3.0.2/src/library'
Please advise how I might solve this issue and successfully install R. Thank you.

I had a similar problem when running the tests a couple of months ago and it turned out it was a bug (that has since been fixed) in the gcc48 port. If your gcc48 is out-of-date that might be the problem.
