Assigning to myself, but I cannot make commitment here. This only indicates that “if I’m working on MacPorts port then I’m working on this”.
If you'd like I can submit my portfile for this. I have a bunch of private portfiles that I'm starting to cleanup and submit PRs for.

is the current one I was going to submit. I haven't regenerated the various crate dependencies as the Cargo.lock format has changed a lot and the existing tooling doesn't actually work with them. There are tools to convert between the Cargo.lock formats.
