BUG: Boost.Python installation seems to be incomplete

I cannot build Python extensions. As per Boost.Python documentation, the tools/build/v1/ directory structure is missing. (See http://www.boost.org/libs/python/doc/building.html#building_ext)

My configuration:

The libboost_python.dylib seems to be linked incorrectly to the standard Mac OS X Python 2.3 installation. Please see bug #6117.
