openblas port not installing (dependency of root6)

Description
When trying to install root6, I cannot complete because openblas does not install.
The log file is attached to this post. It's long, but line 17878 indicates an error with the linker before the final error message at the end of the log. I don't know if this is the source.
I have tried:
- Reinstalling xcode-select command line tools and Xcode
- Updating all outdated ports
- Cleaning the openblas and root6 ports
I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do next, because I don't really understand how it works. Any help is much appreciated!
