Hallo same problem by me using macos catalina 10.15 Darwin version major 19 . But the port can't be parsed due to a kind of version conflict.

message when syncing ports with :

port -v sync

Failed to parse file lang/rust-bootstrap/Portfile: rust_build.version (1.77.0) must be newer than rust_build.stage0_versions (1.79.0 1.78.0)

This is actually happening on macOS 14 as well.

Running on macOS 14.6.1, I get similar output when cleaning all ports: 

Error: Unable to open port rust-bootstrap: rust_build.version (1.77.0) must be newer than rust_build.stage0_versions (1.79.0 1.78.0)

"rust-bootstrap" I had never installed.

I'm seeing the same thing on running a port index or just trying to parse this Portfile at all.
