Two questions: first, does this truly need gtk26 (the 2.6 branch) and not work with 2.8 (just want to make sure, since otherwise the dep should be gtk2). Also, the maintainer email address listed is not yours here in BZ, which (if both are you) means bug assignment for the port won't work.

(From update of attachment 6811) change maintainer to daneejo@…

Yes, it does require GTK 2.6. With GTK2.8 there is an issue that the program fails whenever you try to change the font it uses.

I tried to change the maintainer address in the portfile, but "Edit Attachment as comment" doesn't do anything in my Safari. Does Bugzilla require using Mozilla?

# $Id: $ PortSystem 1.0 name bibledit version 1.4.01 categories textproc maintainers daneejo@… description A program for Bible translators, allows editing USFM scripture text in Linux or Mac OS X. long_description There are many languages still without a translation of the Bible. Bible translators need a text editor that can input Bible text. Bible text is unique in that it is organized in two distinct hierarchies. One, it has sections and paragraphs, like any other text. Second, it is made up of books that contain chapters that contain verses. Many contemporary Bible translators use the USFM data format for their Bible translations, but the most widespread USFM text editors require Windows. Bibledit is a USFM Bible editor that works in Linux or Mac OS X. homepage http://bibledit/sourceforge.net/ master_sites sourceforge

OK, I used Firefox and "Edit attachment as comment" now works.

Bumped to version 1.6 and committed. Thanks! I see the docs say it requires GTK 2.6 and I tried 2.8 just to see and it segfaults. But I'm having problems installing GTK 2.6 right now so I can't run this app under GTK 2.6 to test its operation.
